FAQs
Is filler dissolving safe?
Yes. When performed by a trained practitioner, filler dissolving is very safe. Hyaluronidase is a prescription-only medication that has been used safely in medicine for many years. Before treatment, a patch test is often carried out to rule out any sensitivity to the enzyme.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most clients find the procedure quick and tolerable. A topical numbing cream or local anaesthetic can be applied to reduce discomfort. You may feel a mild sting or warmth as the enzyme is injected, but this subsides quickly.
How long does it take to work?
Hyaluronidase starts working almost immediately, and most results are visible within 24–48 hours. In some cases, a second session may be needed to completely dissolve the filler, depending on the amount and area treated.
Can I have new filler after dissolving?
Yes. Once the area has fully settled and any swelling has resolved, new filler can usually be placed after 1–2 weeks. This allows your practitioner to safely and precisely restore volume with the best aesthetic outcome.
