Dermal Filler Before & After Results

    Chin & Jawline Filler

This patient felt her chin lacked projection and wanted a stronger, more defined jawline. Hyaluronic acid dermal filler was carefully placed in the chin and jaw angle to create a more balanced profile while maintaining a natural-looking result.

    Tear Trough Filler

This patient was concerned about dark circles and hollowing beneath her eyes, which she noticed every morning when looking in the mirror. A gentle hyaluronic acid tear trough filler was used to soften the under-eye hollows and create a smoother, more refreshed appearance. She now says she simply doesn’t think about her under-eyes anymore.

    Natural Lip Rejuvenation

This patient felt her lips were often dry, with lip balm providing only brief relief. She wasn’t looking for noticeably larger lips. She wanted to restore some of the natural volume and definition that had gradually been lost over the years.

A carefully placed hyaluronic acid lip filler was used to create a softer, smoother and subtly refreshed appearance while keeping the result natural and balanced.

    Smile Lines and Jowls

This patient had previously visited other practitioners and had been told that her jowls and smile lines were particularly difficult to treat.

Rather than placing filler directly into the smile lines straight away, Jenny took a gradual, whole-face approach. Over several months, carefully placed dermal filler was used to restore support through the cheeks, beside the nose and along the jawline. These areas can lose structure and support as we age, contributing to deeper nose-to-mouth lines and the appearance of jowls.

Once everything had settled, a tiny amount of soft filler was placed directly into the smile lines. The result is softer jowls and nose-to-mouth lines while keeping her face looking natural and balanced.

    What Are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable gels made from hyaluronic acid — a naturally occurring substance in the skin that retains moisture and supports elasticity. When strategically placed, they restore a youthful shape and texture, enhancing rather than altering your natural appearance.

Are Dermal Fillers Right for Me?

    Ideal for:

    • Midface volume loss or flattening
    • Lip shaping and definition
    • Soften deep lines such as nasolabial folds
    • Jawline contour and chin refinement

      FAQs

Will I look overdone or unnatural?

No — the goal of treatment is always to achieve a natural, refreshed appearance. Jenny’s approach is refined and balanced, focusing on enhancing your unique features rather than changing them. You’ll still look like yourself, just softer and more rested, without the “overdone” or “frozen” look.

      How long do fillers last?

The results from dermal fillers are long-lasting but not permanent. On average, fillers last 6 to 18 months, depending on the area treated, the type of filler used, and individual factors such as metabolism and lifestyle. Areas with more movement (like the lips) may break down faster, while others (such as cheeks) often last longer. With regular maintenance, many clients find their results last even longer and can be easily topped up to maintain a natural, refreshed look.

      What areas can be treated?

Dermal fillers are highly versatile and can be used to restore volume, enhance shape, and smooth lines in many areas of the face. Common treatment areas include:

      • Lips – to add volume, definition, or subtle enhancement
      • Cheeks – to restore youthful fullness and lift
      • Jawline & chin – for contour, balance, and definition
      • Nasolabial folds – the lines running from the nose to mouth
      • Marionette lines – the lines from the mouth down to the chin
      • Tear troughs – under-eye hollows for a refreshed look

Fillers can also be used in more advanced treatments to rebalance facial proportions or subtly rejuvenate areas affected by volume loss. Your practitioner will create a personalised plan based on your features and goals.

      Is the treatment painful?

Most clients find dermal filler treatments very tolerable. You may feel a small pinch or slight pressure during the procedure, but any discomfort is usually minimal and short-lived. If you’re concerned, a topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

Will there be bruising or swelling?

Some bruising, redness, or swelling is normal after dermal filler treatments. These effects are usually mild and temporary, typically settling within a few days. Areas with thinner skin, like the lips or under the eyes, may be slightly more prone to minor bruising or puffiness. Your practitioner can advise on steps to minimise these effects, such as avoiding certain medications or alcohol before treatment and using cold compresses afterward.

What if I don’t like the results of my dermal fillers?

Sometimes it takes a little time to get used to the changes after treatment, and initial swelling can affect how the results look. If you are unhappy or concerned, please contact the clinic so we can review the results together and discuss your options. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, where appropriate. Dissolving is a separate treatment with its own risks, including allergic reactions, which would be explained fully before you decide.

How much do dermal fillers cost?

Prices start from £360 depending on the amount that is required for your treatment. This is always discussed with you during your consultation.

What are the risks of dermal fillers?

Like all medical procedures, dermal fillers carry risks. After treatment, some swelling, bruising and tenderness can occur. Less common risks include infection, lumps and allergic reactions, and a rare complication is vascular occlusion, where filler blocks a blood vessel.

Everything is explained thoroughly during your consultation so you can make an informed decision about treatment. You will receive clear aftercare advice explaining what normal, which symptoms is needing urgent attention and what to do if they occur, along with the clinic’s 24/7 contact details should you have any issues or concerns afterwards.

What happens at my dermal filler consultation?

During your consultation, we discuss what you would like to improve, review your medical history and agree on a personalised treatment plan. The procedure, risks and costs are explained so you can make an informed decision.

If you decide to go ahead, photographs are taken before and after treatment so we can assess the changes and results. You are made comfortable and numbing cream and cooling packs may be used where appropriate. Afterwards, you receive clear aftercare advice and the clinic’s contact details should you have any concerns. A review is arranged for around one month after treatment.

How long do dermal fillers take to settle, and when will I see the results?

You will usually see a difference straight away, although some swelling and bruising can affect the initial appearance. Most swelling settles within one to two weeks, but this varies depending on the area treated and the filler used.

We allow around two to four weeks before assessing the final result, with a review at around one month. If you have any concerns during this time you will need to contact the clinic.

What should I avoid after dermal filler treatments?

For the first 24 hours, avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol. Avoid excessive heat, such as saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs, for 24 - 48 hours, and longer if swelling persists. Do not rub or massage the treated area unless advised. Please contact the clinic should you be concerned about anything.
